Visas
  • Everyone entering Australia is required to have valid travel documentation - visa and passport (required documents).
  • If travelling from overseas, it is important that your visa application is made well in advance of anticipated travel time. Please check carefully with your travel agent to confirm all visa details.
  • Location and address details for Australian Visa offices, worldwide, are listed here. Please note: Status as a conference delegate, alone, does not guarantee the issuing of a visa.

    1. Application on-line for an electronic Business or Tourist visa. Specified countries only may apply.
    2. The Business visa is generally quicker in processing. Make sure that you note your conferencing dates clearly on your application - this will expedite the process
    3. Applicants from European countries go to eVisitor. Check Eligibility.
    4. Customs clearance
    5. Quarantine regulations and health issues

Flights

Do book yours early! International Flights to Australia fill up quickly.

Check Qantas, British Airways, Air New Zealand, Emirates, the Asian airlines, Continental - and Virgin and Tiger Airways are now flying the route to the States.

Early booking of Domestic Flights is also advised - especially if you are catching the early bus on the Tuesday morning.

RTA (Roads and Traffic Authority) website
You are allowed to drive or ride in NSW on a current overseas licence for a maximum of three months after arriving in Australia.

Australia Travel Search website
An overseas visitor may drive in Australia if they hold a valid overseas drivers licence and providing they are licensed for the class of vehicle they will be driving.
